Heaven

"When are we going to Heaven Mommy?"
That is what Matthew asked me this morning just minutes after getting up.
Heaven is something the boys talk about often.  Apparently it is some place they are very anxious to see.
I explained to Matthew there were two ways to get to Heaven.......explaining it in a five year old way.

1. When God decides he wants you to come live with him.....when you die.
2. When Jesus comes back and takes all his people to Heaven with him.

He said, "I think it will be when I am 100......a grandpa."  He says that, but wants to know what it is like today. Right now!  They are so curious about this place called Heaven.  I know as a five year old it is hard to wrap their minds around the thought, but somehow they understand it.  Well not somehow......they truly have the Holy Spirit living right now in their hearts.
Ryan came to me one day and said, "Momma, when will we see Jesus?"  And on the same day, at a separate time, went to his Daddy and asked the same thing.   He said he "just wanted to be with him."
Totally LOVE for their Heavenly Father.  And I will do everything in my power to keep that love growing!!!!
What a glorious day that will be when we get to Heaven!!!!!

"Let not your hearts be troubled.  Believe in God;  believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many rooms.  If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.  And you know the way to where I am going."
Thomas said to him, "Lord we do not know where you are going.  How can we know the way?"  Jesus said to him, "I am the the way, and the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:1-6
