8AM Joy-Much needed GIRL time!

I am super excited about not one, but two times this weekend I am going to have a little girl time!!!!!
With four boys(including Arthur the dog)in the house it is nice to get a break every once in a while to just be with girls.
And my super terrific, handsome and loving husband is generous enough to allow me to get away.
This evening I get the joy of getting together with two women that I use to work with back in 1995.
Life happened and our lives all changed. We all went different directions, went through trials and struggles, had babies, changed jobs, and more babies, but have all remained friends through the years.  We try to get together once a month.  We missed September and October so tonight we will have to make up for loss time.  Don't wait up for me honey!
And then tomorrow I get some sister time.  There nothing like sister time.  You can let your hair down or wear a ball cap and just be yourself.
We are headed to Funky Finds.
The Funky Finds Experience is a 2-day indie art and craft fair. The event features the work of over 120 talented artists, crafters & designers that hand-craft various goods.
NOTE:  I have never been to one and I admit to copying and pasting the above information.
BUT I am excited to go and can't wait to visit a friend's booth.  My friend, Cindy, now she is a talented one.  Check out her blog, Revel Design Diaries.  Click on her name in red or I have a link to the right.
I will feel very intimidated tomorrow seeing all these amazing crafty types.  I have come to the conclusion that  I need to stick with just plain simple crafts.  I will leave the amazing stuff to other people.
So I'm all set for some much needed GIRL time!  Let the count down begin!!!
Have a great weekend and do something FUN!!!

My bubba is 6 and is now officially in kindergarten. The bob books have worked a lot. We have tried a few things, but working with hooked on phonics and the bob books is what seems to be working. We do lots of phonics and sight words. It is a slow process, but it seems like some things are clicking now. I really think it is all about repetition, which I have to remind myself when he doesn't seem to get stuff right away. Heavenly Father is definitely teaching me patience with homeschooling:>

I have a questions to ask also. I have been thinking it would be fun for my bubba to have a pen pal. A way for him to practice his writing and practice letter writing with someone his age. I'm not sure if you are interested in doing this at all, but if you are let me know. I couldn't find an e-mail on your blog, but mine is blissful_and_domestic@yahoo.com

Tasha ~ Sounds like a FUN weekend! I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends, and sister. I too am blessed to be hangin' with some girlfriends. We are getting together to scrapbook on Saturday evening. It has been months, maybe a year since we have done this. It is great to have some "me" time every once in awhile:) Enjoy
