It is almost here!

Well only six more days until Christmas.  I am pretty sure I have everything taken care of as far as gifts.
I had good intentions of being up early and at the grocery store right now.  My body had other plans.
"No I am not getting sick........no I am not getting sick!!!!"
The boys ask me everyday, "Is it Christmas yet Momma?"  Then they go look at our countdown to Christmas calendar and realize it is not.  I can remember as a child wanting it to be here so bad.  The wait was so hard, but the excitement was building daily.  And I can see that with the boys too.
And it is no different for them knowing family is coming.  They know today is the day!
Guests will start arriving today to start our celebrations.  They will be in and out, coming and going through next Monday.  The boys are so excited!!!!!
I am excited and anxious for the busyness that will be going on in our home this week.  But what I am really going to love about this week is that it will be full of memories with our family!
Oh sure the gifts are nice.  Who doesn't want to receive a gift?  But for us Christmas is so much more than the gifts. Although we have received the most precious gift ever given.......the gift of Jesus Christ!

Early Christmas for the boys at Aunt Lissa-Thanksgiving trip

I love giving gifts and love receiving gifts! And already know what I am getting thanks to one very descriptive little 5 1/2 year old boy!  But there is so much more to this time of year!!!!!!
I want to make memories with family this Christmas.  To laugh, sing, dance, play, eat, drink and be MERRY!  I want to take lots of pictures(so get that smile ready Honey!)to look back on one day.
This is not a smile honey!

I want to share love and cheer with one another.  I want family memories!  And I will make them!
So I am ready to start this day.  I will shake off this illness that is trying to bring me down and plan for a busy, but FUN week!!!
It is almost here!  Are you ready?
