Well, it started out simple.....

It was a slow, simple start to our day.  No alarms or wake up calls.  Just sleeping until our bodies were ready to get up.

We slowly did our own thing.  Brant went fishing for that "morning bite", I did all kinds of stuff around the house and the boys watched morning TV....its summer!

We left around 11:00 to begin our 4th day of our staycation.  I had tried my best to come up with something really FUN....something different, something we had never done, but my sweet boys had different plans.

Bowling, video games, homemade pizza and brownies.  Easy enough!  DONE!  Day 4 of our staycation.

We arrived at the bowling alley to discovered it was packed!  No open lanes until around 2pm.  So we headed to the game room.

They were satisfied with the games, but that only lasted about 30 minutes and we then headed home!

Back home we did a little of this and a little of that.  By now everyone was ready for homemade pizza!  After a late lunch the boys played while Brant and I started in on some decluttering of our home.

I had planned to make a run to the grocery store for last minutes things for our day at the lake(today).  I needed stuff to make a pasta salad and the homemade brownies.

I was on my way to the laundry room which is right by Matthew's room.  The boys had been in there playing for a while.  I went to tell them bye and Ryan had a weird look on his face.  He started saying, "I didn't mean to do it.....it was an accident."  And then tears started coming. The hard, scary tears.

The fear in his eyes was frightening!

At first I thought he had truly had an accident in his pants, but it was not that at all.  I finally got it out of him.  He had swallowed this...............

The tip of a dart(fake dart).

I knew this was not good.  He and Matthew were both freaking out.  I called Brant and he knew it was not good.  I tried to get him to throw up, but it was not coming.  At this point Matthew is freaking out more than Ryan.  They do this when something really bad happens to the other.

I got on the phone with their pediatrician, explained the story and waited for the word as the nurse talked to the doctor.  Yep, we are headed to the hospital!

Now this is when they really started FREAKING OUT!!!!!!! Brant may have mentioned "stomach pumped" too loud!

We knew they would probably just do an Xray.  I consoled Ryan by that.  For a child that has Infantile Scoliosis and has been having xrays since the age of 15 months old this now was not such a big deal.  But it still was for Matthew and Ryan was still scared.

We arrived at the ER and waited.  And waited.  Made it to a room and waited some more.

Long story short, one Xray and several hours later we discovered he is no danger.  Thank God!
"It" was already in his small intestine.  We do still have to watch him for other symptoms that "might" come about, but mainly have to watch his poop!

What?! Yes, just when I got them wiping their own butts I now have to check his poop to make sure he passes it.  What does this mean?  Oh wait I don't want to know.

Back home.  I still had to make the grocery store run and did!  And make the pasta salad.  And brownies!  All accomplished by 10PM!!!!

We are now lake ready!!!!!

I am not getting my hopes up and expecting a simple day.  Just a day without a trip to the ER would be nice.  Day 5 of our staycation will hopefully be a nice, relaxing day at the lake with friends.

Enjoy your weekend.  Get outside and do something FUN!  Drink plenty of water, BUT do not put anything in your mouth that is not food or a drink!!!!!!!
