It doesn't matter that the boys have a nice size yard to play in. And have a play system in their own backyard with a gang plank to walk up to a fort, a rock wall and a picnic table under the fort. Nope, they still love going to the park. Maybe it is the open fields and lots of room to run and play.
They had been asking for months to go to the park. The weather is just now getting nice enough for us to head that way. So yesterday after school we took recess to the park. NO ONE was there but us. They ran and played on the play system at the park as if they had never seen one before. It was a ship at one point. And then turned into a Star Wars space ship. After a while they were ready to play some ball. We played baseball.
These little guys can hit!
We were playing by a tree that produces these green balls you'll see in the picture below. We call them horse apples. BTW-if you know what they are really called please tell me!
The boys had a great idea to play ball with the horse apples. Of course once they hit the horse apple it would break into pieces!! And fly everywhere.
And then the cheers and laughter would begin!
I love to watch them play. I love to watch them pitch! And I love to watch them HIT!
And the park has the perfect tree to climb!!!
And one thing they do not have at home is a slide for two!
Fridays may very well be a day at the park from now on.

I love recess at the park too!
Kids always love going to the park and sometimes mummy probably enjoys it too!We are never to old for a swing or slide!Have a good week!!
