Looking ahead.......

I trust everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I know we did! I feel very blessed. We enjoyed the down time and family being here.
Today we worked frantically to get rid of ALL signs of Christmas!  Now don't get me wrong, I love all the decorations and the reason we celebrate, but when it is over I am done. 
Christmas is only in my heart now.
I will miss the build up to it, the baking of treats, the endless activities, visits from family, the music and so much more.  But I will probably miss more then anything the boys excitement about the Christmas season and THE LIGHTS!  I do love the lights!!!

Their excitement and the warm glow of lights...candles or Christmas lights make for such a festive time. 

There will surely be something else for them to get excited about very soon.  And candles(or a cozy fire)will do nicely for a while!!! 

I am glad it is all put away because I am now looking ahead.

I love this time when all things look fresh and new after a month of red and green.  I can see clearly today and my mind is looking ahead to the new year.

Ahead to new plans, new goals, new projects, new books, new recipes, new FUN!!!!  A new year brings new hope for a whole slew of possibilities!!!!
