BUT yesterday my super, terrific, amazing husband helped me out with the lights and it went SO fast. As I got them all tangled in a big mess he remained so calm and continued with the task.
Just as I thought it would be....Matthew helped decorate and Ryan hung outside with his Daddy. He came in every once in a while to hang an ornament or two. But me and my crafty one did most of the work.
And the tree turned out to be just what these sweet little boys wanted. Including COLORED lights!
They begged!!
My department store tree will have to wait for now. I just could not tell their sweet faces no on the colored lights.

Good for you on the colored lights! :-) I'm going to hold on to my white lights as long as possible.
We have always had a real tree. I'd love to get a fake, pre-lit tree, but Dave says we may as well not celebrate Christmas if we have a fake.
Beautiful! The colored lights remind me of childhood Christmases. Don't you just love the smells of the tree drifting through your home!

I hear ya about the tangled mess of tree lights, but it's worth it:) For many years we had colored lights that had like 7 different flashing patterns and they even played Christmas songs(that can be annoying after a while), but last year they bit the dust. Now we just have white. Enjoy your fragrant, colorful tree ♥
