Toll House Pie

Better late than never!!  I know I totally missed out on Pi Day,  BUT playing outside with two cuties is more important than posting a pie recipe.  Right?

What are you wishing for I asked.....I can't tell you mommy, it's a secret.

OK on to the pie......now you have a good excuse to make a pie today.  Pie on a Thursday is always a good thing!!!!  Well actually this pie is good on Friday, Saturday, SUNDAY, Monday.....you get what I am saying.

Toll House Pie!!!!

Think of a thick chocolate chip cookie with crust and a nice spoonful of whipped topping.  Or Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream.  I went with homemade whipped topping.

Are you drooling yet?

This is a pie recipe that my family has made for years.  My sisters and I worked at a restaurant that made it and it was always a hit!!!  It then became a favorite for my family.

Get ready to knock some one's socks off with this.

Super rich and super easy!!!!

Toll House Pie
1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell *
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks)butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.)NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 325° F.
Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
* If using frozen pie shell, use deep-dish style, thawed completely. Bake on baking sheet; increase baking time slightly.
 Enjoy and Happy Thursday!

Hello Tasha, I am Making this for our week end celebration. Found a buttery crust I made. It is to sit for 4 hours in the frige. I made a plan to make homemade green mint chocolate chip ice cream for patties day and needed something to go with. This is going to be perfect because my hubby and boys love pies and cookies sooooo this is to delight! Thank you! I love all your recipe picks, everyone I have made has turned out great! Double thanks to a double blessed lady! Angelia in Tx
