Normal to me these days is.....................
-Sleeping in my own bed.
-Getting up early and drinking coffee in my favorite cup.
-Baking homemade granola bars. Even if I had to do it at 5:30 in the morning to avoid overheating this little kitchen.
-Taking a nap on our couch while the boys run and play all around me.
-Decorating each room (which BTW are only a few!) with all my pretties.
-Having projects to keep me busy.
-Seeing the boys in "their" room playing with all their toys. "Their" room is a new thing. They had their own room for as long as they can remember.
-Having internet, TV and Wii all connected.
-Developing a routine in a new place. Still working on it, but trying desperately to establish something!
These are just a few things that are making me feel normal these days.
The house is pretty much set up. I still have lots of things to be hung on walls and am in hopes Brant can get to those this weekend.
NOTE: the pictures are of our bedroom. And just so you know I did not take a picture of the very messy dresser stacked with junk and boxes. And did indeed move things around to make these pictures look better. I had to tell you because I am honest and did not want you to think I totally have it all together......not yet!
The garage is another story! It will serve as a storage room since we downsized tremendously. Going from 2018 square feet to 874 square feet! We ultimately want to buy land with a bigger home one day so for now we are renting this cute little home. We have lots to get rid of, but still a lot we want to keep for that bigger home one day. Not near as big as our home in Fort Worth!!!
So.....can you say YARD SALE coming soon?!?!
It is a much smaller, older home, but I am loving it more and more everyday. For a year or more I had started to get rid of stuff in our Fort Worth home. And when we were packing to move I could not get over all the "stuff" we had! Why on earth do people need all this junk?!
So moving into a smaller home I am really finding out what we truly need and getting rid of the rest. This will make me shop smarter I am sure. I have no room in our life (or HOME!) for junk!!!!!
I'll post soon about the specifics that make this house so great. And some of the projects to come.
My favorite is the bathroom. With yellow tile I was horrified at what to do to make it work. But with just a few changes, ideas from Pinterest and eventually a new floor (Honey, when can we make this happen?) I am loving the bathroom!!!!
Even though we are just renting right now we consider it our home and will enjoy fixing it up. We always love a home project!!!
Right now I am feeling normal.....feeling blessed.
My blessed pillow made by a very special friend. And given to me by that friend and a special group of women that I miss very much!!!! |
Happy Friday y'all! Enjoy it and be blessed!

I am so impressed with all that you have done in such a short time (even if there are boxes slightly out of sight).
I can't wait to see what you do with the tile!
Blessed and a blessing, you are! What you are sharing touches my heart and stirs the urge to purge. I love clean n simple beauty. I love basics. Things tend to creep in and take over don't they. I was just praying today to get rid of the things that crowd in and take over the focus. For some reason, I nearly cried thinking of the treasure it is to take a nap as your little guys just play all around you! May you keep feeling the blessings that God is filling you with as you enjoy the everyday. I will seek with you to keep what matters around. Your home looks so charming. I love the wood floor. You are gonna motivate me with the tile! I can not wait. Love, Angelia
