Get those beloved recipes and Christmas tins out!! It is time to make those special or favorite treats for your family and friends.
Part of our Christmas memories are making certain sweet treats. All of these we reserve just for this time of year. Most I make myself, but a few I allow the boys to help with. A couple of these are in our Christmas Jar Memories that we will begin next week. And I promise to share what "Christmas Jar Memories" are this week!
Many of these sweet treats I have been making for years....long before having children. And a few the boys have been watching me make for years. But now they actually help. I love as they get older and can participate in kitchen fun.
Some I have shared before on my blog. And will share again. If you can't wait check out the recipe section or search for it here on my blog.
As I said yesterday this time of year is all about making memories for our family. Or a tradition. I encourage you to start something new this year. Maybe it is simply making sugar cookies (I use a mix....shhhh don't tell!) that you decorate with all the frosting and candies. Whatever it might be make it a family affair. Make it something your children will look back on and smile.
Something they will say, "Do you remember how we always did ____ during the Christmas season?"
So here is our list of Christmas Sweet Treat Favorites:
-Granny Snacks
-Holiday Pretzel Treats
-Peppermint Fudge
-Easy Holiday Cutout Cookies
-Espresso Fudge
ALL very easy or I would not be making them year after year!!! I'll share them as December begins and I am busy in the kitchen.
What are some of your favorites to make for or with your family?
