FUN Friday and Saturday!

Happy Friday!!!!  Can you believe we are already seven days into December?  Christmas is quickly approaching!  And there are so many fun activities it brings.

But first.....today is the FIRST Friday in December so that means donuts for breakfast!  FUN at least for the boys.  I am saving all my calories, fat grams, carbs, etc. for tonight!!  We are hosting a family Christmas get together. Talk about a little house full of love and FUN.  It will be cozy for sure!!!

And then tomorrow the boys and I have a cookie baking day with my Mom!  FUN!!

One of Matthew's request for years has been to make Gingerbread men.  And year after year I put it off somehow or another. Not that they are hard to make, but something as simple as.....last year I totally forgot to chill the dough for an hour and it was already 8pm when we decided to make them. Poor little guy was devastated!  This year he picked it AGAIN to put in the Christmas Jar Memories . And this year I will FINALLY make his dream come true!!!

We will also be making sugar cookies and using my beloved cookie cutters handed down to me from my Mother......my Cookie Treasures .

There are so many in the box and the boys would want to try every last one! In fact they found a football player cookie cutter and ask if we could make them on Saturday. I totally ignored them!

I nipped it in the bud and picked out just a few!

I love to bake cookies.  And have tried several different sugar cookie recipes.  But for some reason I can never get them to come out right.  Last year I wanted to call it quits with sugar cookies, but the boys begged to decorate.  So I am sharing my little secret for sugar cookies.

Easy Holiday Cutout Cookies from you know who.....

Please do not judge!  They taste fabulous and your sweet children can quickly start decorating these cookies while you move on to fudge or something more labor intensive.

Memories galore this weekend!!!  And to me that is what life (and the holidays) is all about.

What do you have planned for this Friday?  Or the weekend?  Whatever you do make it a FUN one!  Make memories for your family!!  And if you can get outside and enjoy nature!!!

**Look for Sunday's post on the Second Advent Sunday**
And come back Monday to see what I made this week!!! It brings ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ to our home and smells amazing!!!!

I wish I loved to bake as much as you do! It truly is a gift!

We are entering week 2 of our Christmas Jar. Last week we read a Christmas story and watched a Christmas movie. I am excited to see what they draw today!
