Winter Wreath

The day after Christmas my evergreen and berry "Christmas" wreath comes down.  And then I am left with a blank door.  I like to have something hanging on the front door, but at this time of year I am often puzzled by what to put up.

Since all my wreaths are seasonal I look outdoors for ideas. Nature is full of them!!!

As I brainstormed this wreath yesterday it was in the 40s, cloudy and drizzling.  It may be winter, but no snow for us down here in SE Texas. So I decided to go with frosted pine cones and berries. If you do want a snow/snowflake theme check out Pinterest.  It is full of super cute wreaths with the snow/snowflake themes!

Otherwise dig around in your stash (like I did) and make do. All my berries from Christmas are still out so I snagged a few. I found my fall wreath in the garage and took all the flowers and ribbon off.  I love to repurpose my stuff!! The pine cones too!  I have lots of pine cones for the winter months to decorate with.  Years ago I had lightly sprayed some white so these worked out great.  And during these drab cloudy days of winter I thought this wreath needed a little burst of color.....bright blue bow.

I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Simple enough for me as I dream of just a little snow.
