The boys found me in the DR and were excited about the mess on the table. They discovered the clay pumpkins they made last year in pottery class and a cute scarecrow they want to use for candy corn! Candy corn...now that says FALL!
I found my Indians that I bought last year. They go with the Pilgrims that had been alone for a few years. Now the feast is complete.
As I was going through everything I noticed a smell. I took out some more pumpkins and figured out what the smell was...........
Molded acorns! They are from our Burr Oak tree from last Fall. These are giant acorns and oh so pretty.
I used them all over the house to decorate. I had no idea this would happen!
I suppose I should have preserved them before storing.
Ideas anyone? I will have to remember to toss the ones I collect this year.
I love FALL! And love to decorate for Fall.
Of course I would love for it to be in the 60s or 70s, but I can sit indoors and pretend.
I can't wait for all the pumpkins on the porch, but I'll try to hold off until October.
For now I'll drive my dear husband crazy with all my Fall decorations in early September.
I just can't help it! September say FALL to me. Before you know I'll have to change my blog background again. Ditch the school theme and move on to Fall! Don't be surprised....you know I like to change it often. FALL it is!! Pumpkin bread anyone?

I forgot about those pumpkins from pottery class!! I can't wait. Although, I'm not ready for fall yet, so waiting until October won't be hard for me... :-)
Shellacking the acorns may work. I know that works with gourds. : )
