Christmas Jar Memories-Downtown FW

It was Ryan's turn to draw from the jar on Sunday night.

So last night we were off to look at the tree in downtown Fort Worth.  And it was a BIG tree!!!
See us at the bottom?  We look so little.  It was so tall and beautiful!  The boys were amazed.

And they LOVED this giant nutcracker next to the tree.

It was a cold evening, but we all bundled up and walked all around downtown Fort Worth to see the lights.
This just may be a new tradition for our family during December.  This was the boys idea to put it in the Christmas Jar.  Not sure where they got the idea, but I LOVED it!  It was a FUN evening!

Brant drew from the jar last night to see what other memory we will make later in the week.
It will be going to look at Christmas lights(me and the boys are going in our jammies!).
I am loving our Christmas Jar memories!

What memories are you making with your children during this joyous season?

We call that taking a jammie ride.
We use to take jammie rides to DQ at night before Lindsey's peanut allergy and normally the girls and I go looking at lights at Christmas in our jammies. Brent doesn't. We discussed St. Nicholas yesterday as it was his birthday. We love the story of St. Nicholas bopping a heretic in the face at the Council of Nicea in the 4th century. St. Nicholas was also a generous man. We sat out our Dutch shoes in remembrance of a past christian. I made wonderful shortbread cookies to mark the occasion, also biscuits for breakfast.

oh my goodness that tree is insane. I wish we had something like that here in Vegas. It would be such a fun thing to go and visit. My kids looked at the tree and that it was so cool their pen pals got to go see it. We received your package and my kids loved them! The cards were so cute. Thanks Tasha for your blog and all that you share.
