Deep in the heart of Texas

There is nothing like living in Texas.  Born and raised so I can say I am a true Texan.  Yes I am proud!
Today is December 21st just days before Christmas and we enjoyed temperatures in the 80s today. 
The boys ended up with shorts on, running around in flip flops or bare foot and playing outside most of the day.
MiMi amd Pawpaw arrived yesterday.  Matthew had been planning for their arrival and I had strict instructions they were to sign in when they got here.  He had me make a sign in sheet for the Christmas party(eating and opening gifts).  As Mimi and Pawpaw entered our home they had to sign in.

                      The party got under way last night and we enjoyed good food and time together.

 Today we got the heat!  We actually had a bright SUN and could feel it.  Odd for December, but nice none the less.  And the boys enjoyed it so.  Running and playing, hitting the baseball, showing off for Mimi and Pawpaw and just hanging out.  We all enjoyed our time with family.  Making memories is what it is all about.

The sun has set now and Mimi and Pawpaw have gone.  The boys are still running around like crazy, but this Momma is ready to shut it down.  The weather will change tomorrow and be back to cooler temps. 
I am happy about that.  It just seems more like Christmas to me with cooler temps.  But in Texas you just never know. 
There is a saying here in Texas.......If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change.
And tomorrow it will.........deep in the heart of Texas.
