Little Things That Make Me Stupid Excited!

Can you believe it is July 1st?!  You know what that means........it is time to tell you about the Little Things That Makes Me Stupid Excited!!!!!

I don't have many this month.....awwww the simple things.  Now lets get started!

One

These are so sweet and come straight from our garden in the backyard!!!!
Cantaloupes!!!!  Oh howdy do I love being able to walk out back and grab some fruit!(I just did a Wordless Wednesday post with pictures of these sweet things!)

Cantaloupes are good for you too! 

Here are 5 Health Benefits of Cantaloupes:
1. Great source of vitamin A and Beta-Carotene.
2. Great Source of Vitamin C
3. Promotes the Health of Your Lungs
4. Prevents Cardiovascular Disease
5. Reduces Stress(shouldn't that be #1?!)

So you can totally see why I am stupid excited about cantaloupes!!!!!


Two

We have been eating a lot of these.  I have been making a lot of these.  And you will find several recipes for these in my "Recipe" tab.

Summer and popsicles were made for each other.  And they make me stupid excited!!!!!  By the way my favorites are grape and orange!  And right now we have the ones with the riddle on the stick. FUN!

Three

These have been around since 1858.  Many women before me have used them over and over to help preserve food.  And many still do today!  I have used them for many different things......flower vase, holder for cotton balls in my BR and storage to name a few.  But my newest love is to drink from them.  And the boys too!

I had a "summer party" for the boys last Friday and used jars for their drink.  They thought it was so special! 

After letting the boys use them last week it had me thinking about how my Pawpaw would drink his coffee in a Mason jar. Wasn't it iced coffee? Mom, Dad, sisters? 
So this morning I made extra coffee to have some later this afternoon in a Mason jar.
I'll drink mine iced down and think of my Pawpaw.  Mason jars are so useful and FUN to use.  That is why I am stupid excited about them!!!


Four

I saved the best for last.  I am stupid excited about these boys!!!!  Although spending 24/7 with them can be very trying and sometimes drives me stupid crazy, I am having lots of FUN so far this summer with my six year old twin boys!!!!!

Their age is so much fun and super easy.....OK for the most part.  Last night Daddy went fishing(he is "hooked" by the way)and the boys and me went to Target.  They were so easy to shop with and did not mind at all that I fed them Target deli pretzels, an icee and those "melt in your mouth" frosted cookies for supper.  We ended up running to a few other stores before making our way back home.  They are silly, sassy, funny and loads of FUN!!  I am stupid excited about these boys!!!!!

**Note: at the time I wrote this post Megan at Twinsomnia had not yet posted her "Little Things That Make Me Stupid Excited".  I have a busy day ahead and have grown to love writing up LTTMMSE so I went ahead and did mine.  So if you visit her blog I just wanted you to know that I am ahead of the game!!!
