Decorating with Acorns-Part 2

Today I am sharing my last idea of decorating with acorns.  It is actually using just the tops this time.  In case you missed part 1 you can go here and then go here to see the painted acorns.  All those ideas are in the pictures below.

Now let's move on to the master piece.  I absolutely love this one!!!!  It really turned out pretty and adds just a little bit of the great outdoors in our home.

There are very few supplies for this and you may just have everything in your stash.

First I gathered up some acorn tops and a pretty leaf that was turning a brilliant red.  I used a piece of "scrap" scrapbook paper I had left over from my Mod Podge Pumpkin, a piece of card board(can't remember where this came from, but I knew it would come in handy!), hot glue, basic glue and glue dots.

I simply used the glue dots to attach the scrapbook paper to the cardboard.  Then I positioned my leaf where I wanted it and used a glue dot to attach the leaf.  I then started gluing the acorn tops around the leaf like a picture frame.  Allow to dry and you have a pretty leaf framed by acorn tops.

There you have it!  Now don't tell me you can't afford to decorate for fall.  All these crafts/projects were very inexpensive and add a little bit of the season to our home.  And this was perfect to add some fallness to my desk.

I hope I have inspired you to get outside and see what nature has to offer you.  Use your imagination.  A garland of acorns would be so sweet, but I never got around to it.  But I do have a big bag of pine cones.

If you make something I would love to see your craft.  Leave me a comment!
